Since 1919, Wenger has been helping private companies and public bodies by advising, designing, fitting out and building fitted commercial vehicles such as vans. Whether it’s shelving systems, racking, made-to-measure constructions, isothermal-cooling-refrigeration systems or load securing equipment, we find a solution that’s adapted and efficient to your business requirements.
Well laid out – that saves you a lot of research time. It’s best to start planning the layout of your vehicle before you buy it. This way, you create the basis for optimal achievement of your objectives in your day-to-day work. With the right racks and shelving systems, your equipment is safe, always to hand and easy to store. Our experience with suppliers and customers has shown that a perfectly tidy vehicle can lead to massive savings. Your site staff no longer have to search long and hard for your equipment, and have everything within easy reach.
Tidy – Less risk to your safety. All our fittings are made to the highest safety standards and using high-quality materials. With a fitting from us, you can store or secure the equipment you’re transporting in the best possible way. In an emergency braking situation or in the event of an accident, it is dangerous for a poorly assembled vehicle conversion or poorly stowed equipment and tools to suddenly become a projectile.
Tidy and tidy for a better image with your customers. If the whole load falls on you as soon as the tailgate opens, it’s dangerous for you and embarrassing for your company’s image. Don’t underestimate the image you leave behind with your company vehicles, and take precautions to ensure that your vehicles are perfectly arranged so as not to be perceived in a bad light.
Shelving systems
For a perfectly tidy vehicle. With aluminium shelving systems from Wenger, your transport goods and tools are always stored in the right place. We will design the appropriate vehicle equipment based on your ideas. You will always receive a visualisation with our quotation, so that you can see what the load space with the shelving systems looks like. Our modules are available in various heights, depths and widths. The shelving units can be fitted with drawers, flaps, shelf trays, shelves for suitcases, etc.
Payload and robustness thanks to aluminium. On the one hand, this ensures that the payload remains high, while on the other, it prevents the integrated components from rusting. Thanks to their robustness, shelving systems often last longer than the vehicle itself, which is why it’s not unusual for the complete interior fittings to be used in a new vehicle.
Take advantage of our range of products specific to your sector of activity. Depending on the size of the vehicle and your company’s field of activity, there are a number of different installation options to choose from. We can offer you drawer systems, shelf flaps, shelves/shelves for suitcases, extendable workbenches, supports for pipes or boxes, doors, etc. combined individually and according to your needs.
Mobile workshop
Make your customers happy. A mobile workshop is essential if you want to be well-equipped for your work and be able to intervene quickly on site. With a well thought-out interior layout, you’ll always have your tools to hand and you can carry out repairs quickly and easily in your mobile workshop. Offer an on-site service, reduce unnecessary waiting times for your customers and increase their satisfaction.
Carry out your maintenance work effortlessly. Have your vehicle fitted out by Wenger so that you have enough storage space for your equipment and as many easily accessible surfaces as possible for your work. As if you were working in your own professional workshop. Thanks to our ingenious storage systems, your work tools are logically arranged and easily accessible.
Customised, made-to-measure fittings
With a customised interior layout tailored to your needs, you can carry out your daily tasks with ease. Decide which products you’d like to fit out your van with, so that your goods are stored space-savingly and your work equipment is right where you need it. It’s also possible to create individual storage spaces in the driver’s cab and to install technical equipment such as radios, mobile phones, etc. in easily accessible places. Most of our modules and supports are made from aluminium. On the one hand, they are very robust and, on the other, they retain a high payload.
Well thought-out extras for your goods. Your goods can be secured using lashing rails built into the wooden floor or mounted on the roof braces, so that nothing moves. To prevent damage to the side walls during loading and unloading, they can be protected by an inner lining. We can also manufacture special devices and supports to ensure that your goods are perfectly secured.
Take advantage of our experience in building police and fire vehicles. Different sectors have completely different interior design requirements. Thanks to years of experience in fitting out vans, we are equipped to meet even the most exclusive requirements. Take advantage of the technologies we use in the construction of police and fire vehicles and the resulting experience in compact and robust vehicle fittings.
Fitting out refrigerated vehicles
For an efficient refrigerated supply chain. When it comes to transporting temperature-sensitive goods, which have to maintain a given temperature in the logistics chain, you need the right vehicle with the corresponding cooling and insulation. Wenger offers refrigerated vehicles that can be cooled or heated and are perfectly suited to your needs. Wenger refrigerated vehicles are characterised by the perfect interaction between the insulation and the refrigeration unit, and are impressive for their high energy efficiency. Not only do you save on running costs, such as fuel, but you also do a good deed for the environment.
Whether you’re transporting refrigerated, pharmaceutical or hygienic goods, we’ve got the right layout for your sector. The temperature of the load compartment can be easily adjusted in a few gestures using a control integrated into the cockpit of the driver’s cab. Thanks to the display, you can monitor the temperature inside your refrigerated truck at all times.
Wenger refrigerated bodies are made of solid, CFC-free construction for transporting fresh and frozen products. The insulation of our refrigerated vehicles, made from closed-cell polyurethane rigid foam panels with a smooth, white GRP outer texture, provides perfect cooling. The insulated floor has a grey, waterproof and non-slip surface. The right cooling unit for the interior provides the temperature you need for the goods being transported.
If you want to transport goods in a temperature range between +0°C and +12°C, a vehicle equipped with a cooling unit is the best choice. If you want to transport goods in a temperature range of +0°C to -20°C, a vehicle equipped with a deep-freeze system is best.
Load securing – Safety features
Why securing the load is so important. The forces acting on the vehicle or load during acceleration, braking, cornering or road irregularities multiply very quickly. That’s why it’s so important to secure the load correctly and to comply with the maximum weights specified in the vehicle permit. Axle loads must also be taken into account at all times. This will prevent the vehicle from tipping over, and also avoid it veering off course when braking. What’s more, correctly secured goods cannot become dangerous projectiles, particularly when braking.
All goods need to be secured differently, because the size and nature of the materials can vary. For perfect securing, we offer a range of lashing options: lashing rails can be fitted to the side and front walls of the extensions, clamping straps can be used to achieve the right clamping force and secure the load properly, and bars can be used vertically or horizontally to secure the load and prevent it from slipping.
