Load securing – superstructures

Why load securing is so important

The forces acting on the vehicle or the load during acceleration and braking, but also in curves or when the road is uneven, multiply very quickly. Therefore, it is important to secure the load correctly and to strictly adhere to the maximum weights entered in the vehicle registration document. The weights of the axle loads must also be taken into account at all times. With correct load securing, you prevent possible overturning of the vehicle as well as lane deviation during braking. In addition, the correctly secured goods, especially when braking, can not become a dangerous projectile.

Wenger bodies with load securing options

All Wenger bodies are equipped with lashing points as standard and already offer good possibilities to secure the load correctly. Optionally, the existing lashing points can be extended according to your needs, because every load must be secured differently.

Lashing rails the basis for perfect load securing

Each item to be transported must be secured differently, as the size and material properties may vary. For perfect securing, we offer you different lashing options. Lashing rails can be mounted on the side and end walls of the superstructure. It is also possible to install lashing rails recessed into the floor so that they cannot protrude.

The following lashing equipment can be used to perfectly secure the load.

Lashing straps

With lashing straps, the load can be perfectly lashed down or tied down. By means of tensioning ratchets, the appropriate tensioning force can be achieved and the load properly secured. When securing using belts, the pretensioning force must always be taken into account, i.e. the area between the load and the lashing point. The steeper the angle from the lashing point to the load, the better the pretensioning force.

Locking bars

Locking bars are suitable for securing in box and tarpaulin bodies. The bars can be used vertically or horizontally to secure the load and prevent it from sliding. The locking bars can also be used as a base for lashing by means of lashing straps.

Intermediate wall closures

Intermediate wall locks, like the locking bars, are suitable for securing the load in tarpaulin bodies as well as on flatbed and tipper bodies. The locking beams can be locked laterally with eccentric locks.

JFS fittings

JFS fittings are very suitable for securing rolling containers. The clamping levers are used to lock the load to the side wall rails and secure it optimally. Slippage is thus no longer possible.
